“ Our waitress MIA was amazing! Kind, hospitable and catering! The food is consistently outstanding!!!! Taste like I’m in ST.Juan!!!! I had to bring my mom all the way from Philly to get blessed with this amazing food!! Thanks for such an amazing experience!! We ordered the sampler of a little bit of everything! The stewed chicken, the stewed fish, mofongo, passion fruit margaritas, the s’mores drink, a ginger mango mojito! Everything was top pier!!! Can not wait to come back!! ”

“ I had a wonderful experience at De Rican Chef! We started with the appetizer sampler, and everything was delicious, especially the alcapurria—it was definitely my favorite. For the main course, we tried the pollo guisado and bistec encebollado. Both dishes were flavorful, and I could tell they used quality ingredients, but I did find the bistec a bit on the dry side. Also, while everything else was great, the beans didn’t quite have the authentic Puerto Rican flavor I was expecting. That said, the service was excellent—very attentive and friendly—and the location is beautiful, with a nice atmosphere that made the dining experience even better. To top it all off, I enjoyed a perfect cafecito to finish the meal. Overall, I had a great time and will definitely return! ”

“ The food was delicious, as always. This was our first time at the beach location, as we usually go to the one on Holland. Both the outdoor patio and rooftop patio were closed, though I'm not sure why. They weren't super busy, and the weather was gorgeous, but it may have been a staffing issue. Regardless, we were kinda bummed, but we still enjoyed the scenery inside by the large opening at the front. Everything we had, minus the guava margarita, was 5 stars. Seriously, such good food. It reminds my husband of home, every time we eat here. As for the margarita, I'm not sure if some salt from the rim got into the drink, but it was super salty and completely missing any guava flavor. It tasted like tequila and salt. The rim was heavily salted with table salt instead of the coarse margarita salt, so it's likely it had gotten into the drink itself. We ended up getting the passion fruit gin fiz instead, and that was delicious. We'll definitely be back next time we're close to the beach. ”

But the real standout of the night was the fantastic bartender, Gabe. Even before he knew we were celebrating anything, he treated us with such genuine kindness, attention, and great conversation. His vibe is magnetic and his drinks are top tier! We had so much fun early in the afternoon that we revisit it again later that day!
